Soap Making Workshop, August 19th, 6pm $59pp
This melt and pour soap making class is a slow introduction into the basics of soap making in a safe and creative manner. The class will begin with a tutorial from Laura of City Side Soapery, demonstrating safety precautions, measurements, how to fragrance safely, colorants, and then pouring and making the melt and pour soap. Following, the class will then begin their processes while Laura monitors for safety and assists in creative visions.
You will make 6, 3-4 oz bars of soap unique to you. Makes a great gift giving workshop! Duration is up to 2 hours.
This workshop requires a minimum of 5 to run and is limited to a maximum of 12.
Melt and Pour Soap Making Safety: This is an adult workshop. Melt and pour soap is the safest form of soap making. Safety glasses are required throughout the class and will be provided. Soap, fragrance, or colorant could get into someone’s eye while making soap. Gloves are not required, however are advised to be used. Melt and Pour soap bases are melted to a high temperature which could cause mild burns while working with it for this reason long sleeves and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
This workshop will be conducted by City Side Soapery and held at The Maker's Post, 14 Main Street, East Kingston, NH.
